The 2008 South American Championship is the first ISCYRA event next year on January 3-8 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,, followed by the 2008
Worlds in Miami, USA April 7-18, and the Western Hemisphere Championship in Geneva, New York, USA on May 18-23.
The Star Class will be represented at Hanseboot Show in Hamburg, Germany, October 27 - November 4..
USA Olympic Trials
John Dane III and Austin Sperry won the right to represent the USA at the 2008 Olympics in China. Racing came down to the sixteenth and last race of the regatta with George Szabo/Andrew Scott (2nd) and Mark Mendelblatt/Magnus Liljedahl (3rd) in close contention. The Swedish grand prix series ended with Fredrik Ljungkvist and Daniel Alm winning the 2007 GP

Fleet Champions are Will Hendershot and Rick Shousha.
Brazil had the Taca Alberto Ravazzano in Rio de Janeiro at the end of September, won by Fabio Bodra and Arthur Lopes. Valparaiso, Chile's winners of the Campeonato de Invierno were Vincente Gimeno Jr. and Robert Riegel.
