2010 MRYC Summer
Four races were sailed Saturday in light northerly breezes. The right side of the course turned out to be favored upwind and at the end of the day three boats were within a couple of points of each other. Sunday morning breezes were from the South and dying. One race was completed with the left side of the course favored allowing the team of John Vanderhoff/Adam Dolezal to take the series (John Charles Thomas Memorial Trophy) in a tie-breaker with Elliot Oldak/Chris Hardin.
The event was also the 2010 Green Star and fives novices competed for this award. The daughter-father team of Laura and Read Beigel edged out Jake Doyle/Bert Collins for the Green Star and third place overall.
Five local boats competed for the Eastern Shore Trophy with the team of Andrew Parish/Rich Hoff winning this plate.
Many thanks to the Mid Eastern Shore Star Fleet and the Miles River Yacht Club for a very enjoyable sailing week-end.
