ISCYRA President Bill Allen has provided a overview of the voting results for the 2005 class rule changes and a 2005 weight table for skipper and crew. Allen also appointed Richard Burgess and Christoph Gautschi as International Governing Committee members for 2005-2006. The 2005 for 2006 proposed resolutions are available.
The South American Championship is in Buenos Aires Jan 5-9 (entry list), with the 2005 Star World Championship following Feb. 8-20 (entry deadline Jan. 13, notice of race and entry form). In Florida, the Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regatta is Jan. 23-28 and the Bacardi Cup takes place March 6-11.
Racing at Nice, France
Results In the USA, Mark Mendelblatt (USA Olympian in the Laser class) and Mark Strube won the Commodore's Cup in Miami in early December and Foss Miller won the Kriss Kringle at San Diego.
In Italy, Francesco Bruni and Guido Vigna (Italian Olympians) are leading the winter championship at Palermo and Paolo Nazzaro leads the Santa Marinella racing.
In France, Luca Modena and Sergio Lambertenghi won the Nice 48th Christmas Regatta for the 5th time.
