June European Results
Mark Mendelblatt and Mark Strube are the 2006 Kiel Week champions, with Robert Scheidt/Bruno Prada in 2nd and Mateusz Kusznierewicz/Dominik Zycki finishing 3rd. Earlier in June, at Kiel before Kiel Week, Flavio Marazzi and Etienne Huter won the Goldener Pfingstbusch. Claus-Peter Luxa and Rolf Roettger were top boat at the Pfingstregatta at Essen, Germany. At the end of June, Robert Stanjek and Frithjof Kleen won the 69th Warnemuender Woche.
In Italy, Brazilians Lars Grael and Marcelo Jordao were the winners of the XLII Trofeo Emilio Benetti with a fleet of 53 boats.
In Austria, Armin and Claus Wiedergut took the Graf Lodron Wanderpreis on the Ossiacher See. The Int. Osterreichische Staatsmeisterschaft 2006/Max Kastinger Memorial was won by Walter Passegger and Martin Kropfitsch.
In Switzerland, Rico Furrer and Basil Zweifel won the Bernina Cup Steckborn.
At Lidköping, Sweden, Mats Johannson and Leif Moller won the 3rd race of the Swedish Grand Prix Series. And in Finland, Kim Holm and Jesper Sundman won the 3rd race of the Finnish Grand Prix Series, the Anniversary Regatta.
In the Netherlands, Erik Veldhuizen won the Star Class at the North Sea Race.
June North American Results
Canada:
In Montreal, Brian Cramer and Tyler Bjorn took the Montreal Bi-Annual Regatta. In Vancouver, Dennis Burgess and Dave Kershaw won the English Bay's fleet's qualifier and June Series. In Victoria, the Vancouver Island fleet championship was won by Bob Britten and Eric Morch.
USA:
In California, Jim Buckingham and Mike Dorgan won the Baxter Bowl sailed at Newport Harbor. John MacCausland and Kevin Murphy took the Arms White Trophy in Connecticut, MacCausland winning the trophy for the 12th time since 1981. Kirk Reynolds and Dan White won the New York State Championship at Seneca Lake, NY.
