The Eastern
Hemisphere Championship is in Thun, Switzerland May 14-22. Over
60 entries have been received from 16 nations. The Holland
Regatta (ex-Spa) is on May 25-29 in Medemblik, The Netherlands.
John Chiarella
has been appointed the ISCYRA
Secretary. John is an active class member for many years, having
served as Lake Sunapee Fleet Captain and 12th District Secretary,
and is a Vice Commodore of the Class.
Hannes Gubler,
Chair of the Technical Advisory Board, reports on
interpretations to specifications for backstays, jibstays and
the cockpit.

2005 Worlds and the state of Star development, originally published
in Seahorse Magazine.
A painting
of a Star in 1933 at Deauville, France, by Raoul Dufy, sold
for $352,000 at auction in New York.
