In France, the 34th Ducs de Nemours French Open Championship at Annecy was won by Martin and Yves Tenconi.
In Germany, a windy Bad Zwischenahn Starboot Cup was won by Michael Koch and Carsten Witt. In contrast, the Essen Spring Trophy had lovely weather with Friedrich Kleine and Arndt Renner the winners. The Star Cup, Malente was won by Robert Stanjek and Frithjof Kleen from 34 entries. Reinhard Schmidt and Dirk Meissner won the Marinepool Supercup at Münchner Yacht Club on Starnberger See.
In Switzerland, the Osterregatta at the Thunersee-Yachtclub was won by Kurt and Marcus Scheidegger and in Italy the Viareggio Coppa di Pasqua winners were Filippo Lanfranchi and Rainer Roellenbleg.
In the Netherlands, the Tulpenrace winners were Peter Van Veen and Paul Goelst, and the Easter Regatta was won by Sander Jorisson and Maarten Schut.
In North America, Henry Filter and Rodrigo Meireles won the Star Class at the Annapolis NOOD and Craig Wilshire/Clay won the English Bay Spring Series in Vancouver.

In the USA, in Annapolis, leading up to the Western Hemisphere Championship May 23-26, are the Miles River YC Ousler Memorial regatta May 6-7, and the Howard Lippincott Memorial on May 20-21.
The Tulip Tune-Up is at Gull Lake, Michigan on May 19-21, and has published an invititation to the regatta and the notice of race.
The first race of the season in Sweden is the Vårfyren - SWE GP1 on May 6-7 and, on the same date, is the Bodenseemeisterschaft Swiss GP in Switzerland. In Germany, there is the Ederkogge (Uli Seidlitz Memorial) on May 13-14. The Coppa Tito Nordio is May 19-21 in Trieste, Italy. Finland's first race of 2006 is the Suunto Cup - Fin GP1 on May 20-21.
