Florida winter circuit continues through March 2010.
In this series you can sail in an ISAF World
Cup (Rolex OCR), a continental championship, the Bacardi Cup and more.
For April, sail in the Western
Hemisphere Championship at Nassau, Bahamas, April 10-17, 2010.
The 2010 Star World
Championship is Jan. 12-23,
2010 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The entry list for the
Worlds is available.

US Sailing named its 2009
Olympic Team of the Year - George Szabo and Ricke Peters,
current Star World Champions. Their coach, Mark Ivey, was named National
Coach of the Year.

The
2010
South American Championship was sailed at the upcoming 2010 Worlds
venue in Rio de Janeiro. Winning the Silver Star were the Swiss Flavio
Marazzi and Enrico de Maria over the local Brazilians - Alan Adler,
Torben Grael and Lars Grael. Swede Fredrik Loof squeezed into the middle
of the Brazilians for 4th. The Taca
Royal Thames was sailed in Rio a week before the championship
and won by Lars Grael and Ronald Seifert, with Marazzi/De Maria second
and Loof/Tillander third.
The 18th
District Championship was held in early December in Buenos
Aires, Argentina and won for the second year in a row by Alejo Rigoni and Juan Pablo Percossi.
In Italy at Viareggio, Daniele and Davide
Mugnaini won the Trofeo
Gianotti and the Campionato
d'Inverno winners were the Alessandros - Lanfranchi and
Cinquini.
At Rapperswil, Switzerland, the Rasta
Cup winners were Ante Razmilovic and Brian Hammersley.
At Nice, France, Olivier Godefroy and Eduardo Runte won the Coppa
Acciuga and Graham Bailey and Alar Volmer were the
winners of Minimee's
Rally. Bailey went on to also win Dr.
Evil Devil's Race (sailing with Pille Kask). The 53rd
annual Nice Xmas Week Regatta winners were Arpad Litkey and Akos Mesterhazy-Nagy.
In Paris, Xavier Rohart and Pierre Alexis Ponsot won the Trophee
Pinatel.
In the USA, the Miami sailing season
started with the Schoonmaker
Cup and continued in December with the Commodore's
Cup - both won by Eivind Melleby and Petter Pedersen.
