October 2005 Results
In Germany, Robert Stanjek, sailing with Frithjof Kleen, won the Senatspreis in Berlin, and in
Austria Thomas Stelzl and Johannes Eder won the Wodi Wodi Pokal at Attersee. In Switzerland, Kurt Scheidegger /Kirstin Steyer won the Thunersee Herbstpreis, Klaus Kappes /Steffen Rutz won the Rasta Cup on Lake Zurich, and Lorenz Zimmermann /Dario Tizianel won the Sigi Meier Memorial at Hallwil.
In Holland, Jan Willem Kok/Gerard Vd Krogt won the Boerenkoolcup at Loosdrecht. In France, Phillippe and Clement Brillaud won the Coupe de President on Lake Annecy and Josef Pieper /Soren Winkelmann won the 25th Trophee Pinatel in Paris.
In Italy, Luca Modena and Michele Marchesini won the Trofeo Best Wind Shop on Lake Garda and the Trofeo Amicizia which was the last regatta of the Ultraclassic 2005 Series. The series champions for the five regattas (San Bendetto del Tronto, Benetti, Bracciano, Lillia and Amicizia regattas) are Luca Simione and his crews Ferdinando Colaninno and Marco Marenco.
In western Canada, Bob Britten and Hugh Owen won the Vancouver Island Fall Cup and then Britten returned with Justin Chant to win the Thermopylae (Vancouver Island Star Fleet Championship).
On the US east coast, Thierry De La Villehuchet/Dan Ronan won the Columbus Day Regatta on Long Island Sound and John MacCausland/Shane Zwingleberg won the Star/Etchells Regatta in Annapolis. On the US west coast, the racing scene was taken over by world champions Xaviar Rohart and Pascal Rambeau who won both San Francisco regattas, the Pacific Coast Championship and the Calvin Paige.
