2006 18th District Championship (2007 Worlds Trials)

Extra Windy conditions (26Kn +) on the waters of Olivos made this event the hardest regatta in 2006. The Championship was helded by Yacht Club Olivos with Fernando Costa and Carlos Gastelu as Race Officer and Jury. Three teams were fighting for the Cup furiusly until the last race, boats and crews were at the limit in each of the seven races. Many Masts came down, Broken Sails and poles, Skippers in the water as if outside a terror film. Zanetti / Rosas showed a stunning performance during the hole championship having bad luck breaking their new main sail in one of the races leaving Mac Gowan or Labandeira the road to victory. Julio`s regularity and MacGowan`s mistakes paid fully defining in completes regata the championship in favor of Labandeira & Della Torre. Congratulations Again Julio and Enrique!!!
