Series Winner Derek DeCouteau with Linda Koran

Budd Inlet 2008 Monday Spring Series

 
Over 20 of the 30 boats in the fleet participated in the Monday Spring Series that took place on Budd Inlet. The series consists of four Mondays of racing from May 12 through June 23. Each night there were from 3 to 5 races and the overall place for the night is scored as a race for the series.

The competition was tight for the top spot between Derek DeCouteau, Norm Smit and Joe Downing. The winner, Derek DeCouteau, won the Yellow Division series by winning the last day. The Green Division (Wood Boats and Novices) was won by Mark Foley, who is new to the fleet, followed closely in second by fleet captain and founder Bill Brosius.
