Annapolis Spring Star skipper and crew award winners |

| The Annapolis Spring Regatta turned out to be the kick-off for the 2nd District season and it was a great weekend. Saturday we sailed four races in an 8 – 12 knot sunny, southerly. With exception of the first race, Arthur Anosov and Ed Morey controlled the day. After Saturday racing the Annapolis Star fleet provided drinks at the SSA snack bar “Dark & Stormy’s”. They make a good “Dark & Stormy”! Sunday started out with a brief shoreside postponement before a northeasterly appeared. Two races were sailed in a 12 –15 knot breeze that shifted east. There were some oscillations so going right didn’t always pay. The steep chop resulting from that breeze direction made for a lively ride. The awards ceremony was completed by 3:00 PM, giving the three away competitors (Huntington Bay, Seneca Lake, and North Chesapeake Bay) an early start for home. |
