| We sailed 3 races Saturday, two Sunday. We got all the races off before
the wind died Saturday and the rain poured Sunday.
Saturday started 8-10, building to 15 out of the northwest clocking to the
north. The weatherman was predicting thunderstorms, but it never developed.
We started upriver above Gibson Flats and the windward mark was downriver
below Ashcraft. It sprinkled a little throughout the day. Results after Saturday remained the same through Sunday. Sunday brought overcast with some drizzle. Wind was out of the north, 7-9. After the two scheduled races, we sailed in only to get out of the water before the skies opened up. Results: Jock Kohlhas(CT), Tom Price, Keith Donald, Dan Coughlin(NY), Andrew Parish, Don Elliot, Sam Hopkins, Tim Paris, Will Murdock and Eric Wagner. Dan Coughlin took the Novice trophy. A good showing by the fleet and a fine regatta held by Bob Bennet (PRO) and the Miles River Yacht Club. |
