Trophée Carlo Felice 2009

Carlo Felice was the King of Piemont-Sardinia in the beginning of 19th century. He reigned over Nice, who used to be a part of Italy. He modernized the city, built the actual harbour, and was beloved by the people of Nice.

The Nice fleet decided to give his name to a new trophy based on the results of the racing season, from the end of August to the end of June, in order to encourage the participation to all our local regattas. Fourteen Stars competed in 25 races, the 20 best of them being counted.

For this very first season, the trophy was won by the Puissegur father and son, followed by Olivier Godefroy/Dominique Giorgi. Jean-Gabriel Charton/Alessandro Ciocchi were third.

Beautiful prizes and drinks were offered by the Trophy sponsors, our friends Pascale and Gilles Chatenet. Next season will start on August 30th.
