Challenge Carlo Felice

 
Carlo Felice was the King of Piemont-Sardinia in the beginning of 19th century. He reigned over Nice, who used to be a part of Italy. He modernized the city, built the actual harbour, and was beloved by the people of Nice. The Nice fleet decided to give his name to a new trophy based on the results of the racing season, from the end of August to the end of June, in order to encourage the participation to all our local regattas. This was the second edition of this Challenge. Thirteen Stars competed in 13 regattas, belonging to Monaco, Nice and Villefranche fleets. The 2009-2010 trophy was won by Jean-Gabriel Charton and Andrea Orlando, second were Olivier Godefroy and Dominique Giorgi, and third Jacques Puissegur. Prizes and drinks will be offered by the Trophy sponsors, our friends Pascale and Gilles Chatenet. Next season will start on August 29th.
