2013 12th District Championship

A tropical storm brought a wide range of wind and several inches of rain to Lake Hopatcong for the 18 boats competing in the 12th District Championships. The Blue Star was won by Rich Dhein with his son and crew, Clark. Dhein had placed second on three prior tries but was dialed in this time following his win the prior weekend in the Tomahawk Regatta. The Green Star was won by local sailor and proud product of the host club's sailing program Pat Flinn with his rookie crew, Ted Martin. The leading lady Blue and Green trophies were awarded to Kim Hussey and Katie Flinn. The rain didn't slow down either the sailing or the social programs at the club which hosted a dinner party on Friday night.
