Campeonato do 7° Distrito de 2013

The 7th District is the first Star Class District that was established outside of USA.

Tradition and great competition is always at the agenda.

In 2013 the event was held by the Yacht Club Paulista at the Guarapiranga Lake in Sao Paulo. Nice wind along the 4 days regatta. Sometimes strong and shifty except for the Sunday when the races were cancelled due to lack of wind.

Since the first race, great competition between the 2012 South American Champions Fuchs / Seifert and Lars Grael / Moura. The revelation came from the good performance of local sailors Bruggioni / Sansone who ended up on third.

Our double silver Star and Master; Grand Master and Exalted Grand Master World Champion Alessandro Pascolato, had to go to hospital after capsized his “Miisca 2” to try to fix the Jib Halyard. Nothing serious and “Dino” came back with great results at the end of the season.

2014 7th District will be held by the Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro in Rio.
