The 2013 Dr. DAVID OURSLER Star Spring Championship at the MILES RIVER YACHT CLUB, May 4 and 5, 2013. was sailed in very shifty easterlies i.e. NNE, NE ENE, SE and a few other directions I don’t remember. Wind speeds varied between 5 and 18 knots. Very challenging to both competitors and race committee alike. We had 4 races Saturday and 3 Sunday and several of the older guys didn’t make the last race, Bob who? Keith Donald showed us all how to be consistent in spite of the conditions and won handily with 4 bullets and 2 thirds. Elliott Oldak was second and Ben Sternberg was third. Local Will Murdock started strong on Saturday with a 1st and 2nd but lost the third place tie breaker.
