| Sailed at Bad Zwischenahn, Germany. At the Zwischenahner Sailing Club Tilmann Weise has again won the Casino Cup with crew Ole Hinrichs. On Saturday the participants had to move their start because the weather did not cooperate on the first day of the regatta. Only in the afternoon was the wind strong enough to allow racing but it was enough to complete three races. However, due to the weak winds, these races took nearly six hours. The eventual winner won two of three races on the first day of racing, and so laid the foundations for victory. On Sunday, the last two races had better wind conditions. Finishing first and third in races four and five, Weise / Hinrichs took the overall victory with six points. The brothers Dominik and Simon Fallais from Aachen were second, equal on points with third-placed Marko Hasche from Hamburg with foredeck Jesper Spehr from Rendsburg. Dietmar Hobbie from the Zwischenahner Sailing Club, crew for Olaf Richter, of the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein Hamburg, won the 5th race. A total of ten Star boats competed. |
