The Autumn Ukraine Championship of the Star Class was held in Sevastopol. Unfortunately, the weather allowed racing on only two days. Saturday, the 19th had up to 35 knots of wind. On Sunday, the 20th, the northwesterly wind of 10 - 6 knots with 30 degree changes (experienced sailors say that the weather is similar to San Diego) allowed a three leg race of 70-80 minutes. And on Monday, October 21st, there was again challenging weather - a south wind of 18-25 knots with very sharp gusts. Vasily Gureev damaged his yacht even before the start, and Ivan Chekhlaty broke the mast with 500 meters to go on the third race of the day.
