2016 59th Mission

The 18th Annual 59th Mission Regatta was sailed in fantastic Starboat conditions. All five races were completed on Saturday with a 10-15knot breeze out of the South.

Age and wisdom was on full display as the team of Tony Herrmann/Wally Nickerson won the first two races and Jack Rickard/Sam Eadie won the last two races. Rickard/Eadie won the regatta for the second year in a row.

As anyone that has done this regatta knows, this regatta in done in memory of Jim Fox who flew 58 missions in WWII. The fleet also paid tribute to Dick Hennig who passed away June 17th by displaying his initials on their mainsails.

Thank you to the Fox family and friends who provided a great dinner and beer after the races. Also a big thanks to Rick Hennig and the crew of Denali who did a great job as race committee.
