September 11: Stanjek brothers get going - further German teams in medal placements Boltenhagen, September 11, 2010: Berlin brothers Robert and Philipp Stanjek (NRV) achieved third place after six races at NRV Champions Week 2010 in front of the "Weisse Wiek: in Boltenhagen. Frederik Loof/Max Salminen pushs former leaders Robert Scheidt/Frithjof Kleen into second place. Danish team Flemming Soerensen & Niels Thrysoe managed to arrive on time for the second start of the day after their mast broke at the beginning of the first race. Another team, who gave full power today were the brothers Robert & Philipp Stanjek (NRV): after a first and a second place they are in third place in the overall ranking. "Today everything fit together perfectly – it just so happened that we were really quick", said crew Philipp during the after race weigh-in in the race office. After yesterdays OCS the Swedish Olympic team of Frederik Loof/Max Salminen slid down to eighth place of the 37 teams. With today's possibility of having the worst race result deleted, he was able to put himself to the top again with a fifth and a third place. Behind them is the Brazilian/German team Robert Scheidt/Frithjof Kleen with a small gap of three points. The other German teams Johannes Babendererde & Timo Jacobs, Johannes Polgar & Markus Koy and Alexander Schlonski & Matthias Bohn, rank four, five and six and have a possiblity of gaining medals. It is going to be interesting at tomorrows final decision!
