Day One:
Where did summer go? First day of racing at the European Championship had pretty good wind but unfortunately it rained, which we have been accustomed to in Bastad, Sweden this summer. Two races were managed at a fairly brisk pace until the wind turned sharply on the last legs of the third race. The race committee tried to find a steady wind direction but unfortunately the wind died out, which meant that after a fairly long wait, it was decided to postpone for the day. We hope for steady winds in the morning and then we will sail as long as the straps keep holding.

Day Two:
The difficult sailing conditions stayed on at Bastad, where another two races were completed. Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA finished again twice on top and have now a solid 20 points lead on Sorensen/Thrysoe DEN. Johansson/Hemlin SWE dropped on rank 7 after a premature start.

Day Three:
Only one race was completed on the 3rd day of the Starboat Europeans at Bastad SWE, and for the first time, the superior leaders Diego Negri ITA/Frithjof Kleen GER were defeated, but they clearly remain on rank 1. Winners of the day were Kashina/Mechetin UKR, advancing to 7th overall. Thanks to the discard results, Mats Johansson/Stefan Hemlin SWE are now again second. Tom Lofstedt/Anders Ekstrom SWE moved up to third.
