27 Skippers and Crew came to the line for the 2006 Bedford Pitcher Regatta. A one point victory was claimed by Bermuda native and Olympian Pete Bromby and his crew Bill McNiven. Their nine points bested the 10 point score line for Henry Filter and his crew Will Wagner, both of Annapolis, Maryland. Third Place went to Aaron Serinis and Brian Wood of St. Michaels, Maryland and Annapolis, MD with 14 points.

Jock Kolhaus and Josh Revkin from Coconut Grove, FL won the Master Trophy. Guy Gurney and Tim Duval won the Grand Masters Trophy and Steve Andrews and Ailene Rodgers of Huntington Bay Long Island claimed the Exalted Grand Masters Trophy.

Conditions were trying but the Race Committee completed 2 races on Saturday and 3 races in better conditions on Sunday to complete the 5 race Series, allowing each boat to discard their worst finish under Star Class Rules. The 2006 Bedford Pitcher was sailed in a range of condition varying from light to moderate winds under the expert management of PRO (Commodore) Rich Gold and his Race Committee composed of Ryan O''Grady, Jim Marron, Aaron Seymour, Nelson Stephenson, Seth Van Beever and various Cedar Point Yacht Club Staff Members.

Thorny Cook was Regatta Chairman and treated everyone to a Caribbean Rum Party on Saturday night before dinner. Tim DuVal was the masterful chef for the CLIS Fleet Dinner hosting all competitors, crew and Race Committee. A CPYC Star Fleet Dinner is a special cordial evening that is always a highlight of any Star Regatta, especially Cedar Point Style.

Jane Lawrence, CLIS Star Fleet Secretary, was ably assisted by Hillary Lawrence, keeping us all in line and adding their own special touch to the weekend.
