Comments: Fifth Regatta of the Allianz Suisse Star Grand Prix 2004.

This year’s Swiss Championship will be something very special: For the first (and probably only) time there will be a keelboat race on this famous alpine Lake on 1’800m above sea-level. Several major Dinghy World- and European Championships, such as the 2001 Tornado Europeans, have been sailed on this Lake – famous Star sailors like Hans Wallen or John King made their first steps in sailing at the Optimist World Championship 1974 here. Especially for this event, the Swiss Star Class will install a temporary swimming harbour for 35 boats. Due to the reduced facilities, there will be an entry limit of 50 keelboats.

St. Moritz, the world-class winter and summer holiday resort, is the only Olympic city in Switzerland: 1928 and 1948 the Winter games have been organised here, as have been the 2003 Alpine Ski World Championships.
