| On the first day of the Carnaval de Nice, three races were run under sunny skies,fresh air, 2°C in the morning, and winds from 10 knots during the first race, to 1 knot on the last one. Winners were "The old fox of the Baie des Anges" Jacques Puissegur, his son Jean-François crewing, with JG Charton/Thomas Giorgi second and Julia and Graham Bailey third. The dinner and the prize giving were offered by the day's sponsor Patrick Gremy, who had the fairness to finish in the last position. |
