| From Giuseppe Leonetti - The Trofeo Star Midwinter 2004 at Santa Marinella concluded Saturday, March 6, postponed due to poor weather conditions. Five races were sailed in conditions of southwest winds never less than 12-14 knots. The first three teams were very close throughout the regatta, within one point of each other. Ferdinando Colaninno, now a helmsman after a long time as a Star crew, sailing with Santino Brizzi, won with Bruni-Piazza second. Tied with Bruni-Piazza were D’Ali-Romeo, but they lost the tie breaker to be third overall. One race was sailed Feb. 23, three on March 5, and the final race was March 6. |
