Campionato Invernale Star Santa Marinella

Santa Marinella, 6 March 2005 – The Santa Marinella winter championship 2004-2005 has concluded. The Championship, organized by the local Nautical Circle Guglielmo Marconi, with the logistical support of the Marine Odescalchi Port, began at the end of October and had a total of ten races. On the last scheduled day of 6 March it was not possible to race because of a dead calm.

The overall scores, compiled on the basis of the ten races with two drop races of the worst scores, saw victory for Minghetti-Moget, an Italian-Swiss team. The Santa Marinella winter championship 2005-2006 will begin the last weekend of October 2005, 29 and 30, and continue with eight days of racing into March 2006.

The next event at Santa Marinella is Saturday and Sunday, 19 and 20 March, with the Midwinter Trophy, a traditional regatta of the Star class.
