Congratulations to Rick Merriman and Rick Peters sailing on “Max” 8222 winning the Lipton Cup. The other top honors go to Andy Macdonald sailing with Guy Doran 2nd place and Will Stout sailing with Austin Herlihy 3rd place. Santa Barbara YC did a fantastic job on hosting and getting off the regatta with some Very light and challenging winds. The first race on Saturday was not started until around 4pm in the afternoon and by time the second race was completed it was around 7 PM. All of the competitors did not seem to mind since we were in gorgeous Santa Barbara and the weather was excellent. On Sunday, SBYC hosted a fabulous buffet, free beer, wine, and live music for all of the competitors at the completion of the Lipton Cup.
