The initial Zeller Starbootcup was also the third qualifier for the 2005 UB fleet championship. As for all new regattas grounwork had to be laid and 10 boats entered with 9 showing up to start in rainy and cool weather - and 4 clean races were run. On Saturday there were 2 races in light north wind. Our fleet secretary Heiner Frowein with crew Harald Boehler on GER 8102 was best in these conditions with two victories. On Sunday the rather typical west wind returned and Christian Kienzle/Martin free (GER 7627) and Klaus Kappes/Steffen Rutz (GER 7944) won those races. Always in the top group were Guenter Tzeschlock/Markus Renner (GER 8022).
