Vancouver Island Star Fleets - Thermopylae

Victoria, BC, CANADA - Cold northerlies and significant ebb currents greeted the Fleets this year raced as part of Thermopylae Regatta. 25 knot gusts chased half the fleet of the course for the last two races on Sunday. Bob Britten and Justin Chant won in 7612. Jeff Eckard and Paul Callan were second in 6983, and won the coveted sub-7000 trophy. A solid second day moved Rich Mundell and Chuck Hansen into third.
