Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
Sailed on the Woerthersee, Austria.
The Woerthersee had glorious weather on Saturday but unfortunately little wind. Thanks to the hospitality of the club, this was initially not a problem and there was good company with a cool beer while on the lookou tfor wind. Roberto Tomasini-Grinover surprised the participants with a banner “Good Wishes Roberto Sailing Wind” (almost like the Bacardi Cup) and then magically southwest wind arrived. Race director Flossi Egger immediately took advantage of the opportunity and in rapid succession, four races were completed. The wind was not always easy, but clockwise and gusty. Roberto Tomasini- Grinover and Gunnar Bahr got the best deal with the situation and clearly won the most consistent series in front of Kerschbauer / Kerschbaumer and Weber / Polanka. Harry Hoefferer had two race victories. Exhausted after four races in quick succession, at the club the crews were once again greeted with refreshments after the awards, and the legendary buffet. Simply magnificent, with many homemade delicacies.The now traditional quail eggs breakfast the next morning ended an enjoyable event.
