This event was just barely accomplished! Until Sunday at 14 clock it was already feared by all sailors and the race committee, that once again there would not be a Count Lodron Challenge Trophy. On Saturday a bad weather front came through, very wet, but for sailing there was no wind. North wind, south wind in between for short times west and then again also east wind. Never lasting long - the wind has simply not been enough. But shortly after returning to the club the excellent dinner was ready and the night, despite the lack of races, was very nice.

The weather was better on Sunday, but for hours no wind prevailed. Again and again a short west wind or east wind, but before it was possible to think of starting, the wind was already gone. It was only when the some sailors lost their nerve and left the course, shortly thereafter finally a consistent east wind arrived.. Two races were run. The first race certainly had the more consistent wind. In the second the wind was no longer so even. Winning a superior victory in both races were Sepp Urban and Josef Matrei. Second were Rudi Koeller / Ralf Goessler, with two consistent strong finishes, before Heimo and Hermione Schlagbauer in third.
