Results of The A. H. "Tutt" Greening, Fourth District Finale held at Island Bay Yacht Club on Lake Springfield are as follows:
October 3-4, 2020
Five Races; three Saturday and two Sunday. Ten boats sailed.
Saturday was sailed in partly cloudy and Sunny, Autumn conditions. OAT 75F, water 68F, flat water, beginning with a SSE wind of about 9-15 kts. The First Race was sailed by nine boats. The Second and Third Races by all ten boats. Three very competitive races were successfully sailed.
Sunday was sailed in partly cloudy and Sunny Autumn conditions on flat water with a building and clocking wind NNE at 12 gusting to 30 kts.
Nine started and finished the first (4th Race) of two races in moderate to building winds and gusts. Two races were successfully sailed in challenging conditions.
Of the 9 that started the Fourth Race in 12-15 kts., 6 finished. One mast was broken, occurring on the second downwind leg in the edge of a gust of +30 kts. The RC noted a probable whirlwind with significant wind shear.
Four boats started and finished the Fifth and last race.

Trophies were awarded 1st through 5th and the Race Committee members were thanked for running an excellent Five Race Regatta over the two days in good to challenging conditions. Dinner was held at the Yacht Club on Saturday night for the sailors and their families. It was a Corinthian event and one of only two "open" Sanctioned Star Regattas held in the District this year.
