Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
This past weekend was the 2020 Lippincott Memorial held by the Annapolis Yacht Club. 14 boats registered for the event which saw no races on Saturday October 24th due to no wind. On Sunday the temperature dropped from the day before and the breeze was up to a solid and wet 10-15. Josh Powell and Mark Strube sailing out of Michigan took the regatta with a 1,1,2. Ben Sternberg hailing from New York took 2nd and Matt Rajacich of District 2 took 3rd. As always AYC but on a great event with a top-notch race committee, great facilities, and a great yard team assisting with haul and launching. Fun and safety were had by all and resulted in a fine regatta. We in District 2 thank everyone who traveled and hope to see everyone either in Miami or at the next District 2 event which will be posted over the winter.
