EVENT DESCRIPTION

This past weekend 18 Stars from Florida, New York and Maryland descended on Tred Avon Yacht Club to sail The Oxford Regatta. 

I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff and members of Tred Avon.  Talk about making one feel welcome,  they absolutely are number one. 

Richard Lippencott was out PRO and Mother Nature did not make it easy for him and his volunteers. Richard stayed the course and we had three races on Saturday in the 5 to 8mph area. With just enough shifts to be able to get back positions, and of course loose several if you weren't paying attention. 

Saturday night Tred Avon offered a really good Hot Dog and Cheeseburger dinner all the while maintaining the proper social distancing required by Maryland law.

Sunday morning came with a 3 to 5ish Northerly breeze.  Richard did not waist any time and the fleet got 2 more races.

I have written about Tred Avon Yacht Club in the past but I'm telling you it's one of the best clubs I personally have sailed at.

If you can try to make the Oxford Fall Windup, you will not be disappointed.
