EVENT DESCRIPTION

It was the first regatta of the 2020 season, this Sunday feb 15th, for the Nice fleet teams with friendship ashore thanks to the sponsor of the day Michael Willis !

On the water courtesy quickly gave way to competition with 3 races run in very light wind conditions but paradoxically quite stable with very flat sea.

The first round immediately smiled on the defending French Champion duo, Puisségur / Charton who took an excellent start protecting the left side of the course, to win with a comfortable lead over Bondaletoff / Venturi. The second round was much more disputed between the young and talented Samuel Enjalbert crewed by his Father Louis, who leaded at the first upwind leg and held on to the whole regatta until the end or almost because Puisségur / Charton managed a good come back in the last meters and passed them on the finish line thanks to a more paying right option. The last round was a copy / paste of the second and allowed the winners to end the day with a bullet, 3 rounds 3 wins! the overall results places the Enjalbert in second position followed to close the podium of Bondaletoff / Venturi.

The next round of this fleet championship will take place on March 15, before two majors events of the class, 9th District championship end of march and the Eastern Hemisphere Championship at the end of April.
