EVENT DESCRIPTION

Tom Löfstedt and Johan Tillander from the Royal Swedish Yacht Club KSSS wins the
International Swedish Championships 2021!
It took two days of waiting before the weather permitted sailing in Nynäshamn on this years
Swedish Championships.
Complicated weather patterns with gale force Northeasterly winds forced the race
organization under Jörgen Sundelin, former Olympic Champion to postpone all racing for
two days. However, on the last day the race committee managed to arrange four exciting
races on the bay outside Nynäshamn.
Tom Löfstedt & Johan Tillander mastered the shifty conditions in their new C-Star winning
the International regatta 2 points ahead of former World Champion Eivind Melleby who
teamed up with former Olympian Martin Heilsberg from Denmark.
The Junior Trophy to Philip Lindblad.
In fourth place among the Swedish Sailors and fifth in the International regatta is Jonas
Wibom together with 19 year old Philip Lindblad from the Motala Sailing College.
Fair Play Trophy to Ingvar J-son Krook
Rasta Starfleet has teamed up with Non Violence foundation on the initiative of Starsailor
Robert Gustavson and a new prize will from now on be given to a sailor in the fleet who
focuses on fair play on and off the racecource. The competitors at the Swedish
Championship regatta are voting on their own favourite candidate before the prizegiving.
Fair Play Trophy 2021 goes to Ingvar J-son Krook from the Royal Swedish Yacht Club.
The Rasta Star fleet would like to express our gratitude to Nynäshamns for excellent hosting
during the International Swedish Championships in Nynäshamn 2021.
