Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
In the 2024 Kitsilano Invitational Regatta, Bill and Tim Siemers (7844) emerged as the champions due to their outstanding performance and consistent high finishes. The second place was secured by David Watt and his crew (7462), while the third place was taken by the local team of Al Cullen and Dave Martin (8518).
The event experienced perfect Star sailing conditions. On Saturday, we had four races with a steady wind in the teens and mostly flat water. On Sunday, we managed to hold three races in slightly less wind, but the conditions were still excellent.
The social event on Saturday was a hit, with a good turnout, delicious cocktails, and a Steak/Salmon BBQ on our famous patio. We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended.
When you look at the results, you’ll notice a lot of position trading happening among the top 50 percentile. This speaks volumes about the competitiveness of the races. You can check out the results at the provided link:
