- Author: Star Class Holland - May 11, 2024

One week before the Big 3 in Muiden wind looked very absent. However, the wind Gods where in our favor. Blues skies, 12 knots and great competition made it one of the finest days on the water. Joachim Helmich, European Champion in 1989, boosted that it was his best day of sailing ever. The event has also brought a former rockstar of the star back in to the Star. Mark Neeleman returned to the Star for the first time since his final Olympics in 2004. It is clear that Mark still knows his way around the boat currently sitting in 4th place closely batteling for a podium spot

After 5 races the current Star World Champions Max Kolhoff and Ole Burzindski are cleary in the lead with 4 Bullets and a 10 place. In second place is last years number 6 in the World Manu Hens and Joost Houweling. With equal points in 3rd place arte the upcoming U30 team of Nick Heuwinkel and Jesper Spher.
