Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
Dear Star sailors,
As you probably know we have sold the boatyard in Saltsjöbaden , the yard where we have produced our Stars since 1963.
For a long time I did not have a plan where to produce them for the future, but now I am happy to announce that yesterday I settled a contract with an absolutely magical production site very close to the old yard – modern, efficient and with all necessary equipment to raise the quality on the C Star even more.
We are right now finishing the new hull mould – exactly the same shape as the P/C star has always had.
With me to the new shop is Kåre Ljung, both an Aeronautical and Marine engineer – his latest design the Aspect 45 can be found on the web.
Kåres knowledge in profiles, fiber orientation and production methods is well known.
It feels very good to leave much of the responsibility of running the boatyard behind me and now just concentrate my efforts on building Starboats.
We have an order for four new boats right now and I think we will have a couple more coming along the soon.
The yard sailing base is gone, but for next year we are moving the base to the heart of Saltsjöbaden, The Grand Hotel, so our lake Baggen is still going to be filled up with Starboats as it has been since 1933.
