Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
14 Stars from English Bay and Washington competed for the James Griffiths trophy on Oct. 14-15 at RVYC. Hunter Lowden and Brett Wilson in “One Less” ran a series of aces to win the Blue Star for their mainsail. Jim Hynes coached new Star skipper Luke Ramsey to second and Andrew Allan and James Macdonald were third.
We escaped the predicted ‘atmospheric river’ and enjoyed unseasonably warm weather. Thanks to R.V.Y.C. for the hearty dinner and RO Mike Shepard and team for managing the challenging easterly courses.
