Championships Western Hemisphere - Author: CYC - September 13, 2023

Cleveland, OH, USA - The fleet started on time on Tuesday with an 1100 first warning. Conditions were breezier then the day before with steady wind 10-15 knots, gusts up to 20 knots. Direction from the SW trending W throughout the day. The sailors returned to the dock with exhausted smiles and the prevailing sentiment was that this was a fun day on the water. Droop hiking, surfing, and tight racing made for an exciting day. This regatta has proven so far to challenge sailors with a plethora of conditions and the results are showing a competitive fleet. A special shout out to  Jack Jennings and Pedro Trouche for showing up big today with a notable 1st place in race #3 of the regatta, and 2nd in race #4.
