Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
TAB Chair John MacCausland has appointed Peter to continue to serve as Chief Measurer for ISCYRA. After many years of hard work and dedication to the Star Class, Peter was convinced to return to his volunteer duties. Peter has been an invaluable volunteer to the Star Class for many years, having attended many World Championships as Chief Measurer and signed numerous measurement certificates for new hulls. Peter was instrumental in the measurement clinic held in 2019 in Italy where 6 measurers convened to discuss and fine tune the measurement of Star boats. During his next few years, Peter is committed to working with a small group who currently are investigating the use of laser scanning to measure Stars at a precise level. He has also committed to helping find a successor that he will train.
