SEA Activities in Southern California

Hello!

We have organized for all SEA boats to be transported to the west coast of the US for the 2024 North American’s and 2024 World’s! The SEA Program is offering the usage of a boat for these events and any others in Southern California that you are able to attend for a charter fee of $3,500.

Below is a schedule and list of responsibilities for the grantees. If interested please submit an application via the SEA Program page on the class website by July 15. We will review applications and respond by July 19.

The following are provided to U30 Teams:

  • -  A SEA boat

  • -  Housing at both events

  • -  Boat storage and transportation between events

  • -  Discounted entry fee for the first 5 full U30 teams (both skipper and crew) to register and pay the

    entry for the Worlds

  • -  Discounted entry fee to all U30 teams at the North American’s

    For all competitors:

    NHYC: free storage through August 18 (NAs: Aug 5-10)
    SDYC: free storage August 19-Sept 19. Outside those dates, SDYC will allow storage at member rates of $140/month (Worlds Sept 8-13)

    District 5 calendar lead-up to World Championships

    The The following are your responsibility:

  • -  $3,500 round trip transportation of your SEA boat from Florida to California

  • -  Insuring the boat and sharing proof of insurance to Jerelyn Biehl at the central office

  • -  Transportation for yourself and partner to events

  • -  Food

  • -  Operational & maintenance costs of the boat while under your usage in accordance with SEA

    program agreement

    You must have the boat insured while using it. You have two options to insure the yacht.

  1. You may purchase borrowed boat insurance through the class for each of these events or

  2. Get your own insurance policy for the duration of your time using the boat.
