Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
Star Big(3) SERIES a success in 2022
Starclass members in Germany created a new event series in 2022 under the Title "Star Big(3) SERIES". The basic idea behind this is summarized in the slogan “tradition on tour”, offering traditional regattas a concept to move to a more appealing location and combining several events into a single one to keep entry numbers high and reduce the numbers of single events in the racing schedule.
The inaugural series in 2022 caught traction with an initial event in Kiel and 38 boats on the line.
The series moved on to Starnberg where still 20 boats raced and finished with a final series in Muiden / Netherlands where 25 boats attended.

The entry numbers were even higher than the total of 60 teams finally attending, which gave the organizers the confidence to continue the series in the next year.

ACT I: 21.-23.04.2023, Steinhuder Meer, SLSV, www.slsv.de
ACT II: 16.-18.06.2023, Starnberger See, BYC, www.byc.de
ACT III: 04.-09.07.2023, Baltic Sea, Warnemünde, WaSC, www.warnemuender-woche.com as a part of the Eastern-Hem.-Champ. (04.-05.07 Measurement), located at new Warnemünde Marina, west of the river Warnow, (NOT at Hohe Düne!)
