Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
Dear fellow Star Sailors,The Kieler Fleet (KF) with support from the Lübecker Fleet and the HNV Star Academy is offering to assist with Logistics for the two main events in North of Germany during the 2024 season. You might have noticed that the Eastern Hemisphere Championship (in Eckernförde from the 2nd to 6th of July) and the International German Championship (in Travemünde from the 24th to the 27th of July) are held very close to each other.
When we decided to schedule the two events, we hoped to attract traveling sailors from neighboring countries as well as the middle or even south of Europe.
To assist these traveling sailors the fleets and the HNV Star Academy offer each boat entered for both the EHC as well as the IDM free storage in preparation for the EHC and until the beginning of the IDM.
Boats arriving after the 23rd of June in Eckernförde will be allowed to use the crane at SCE free of charge (in coordination with the harbour master). All boats can remain with their mast down and ready to be towed on the premise of the Segelclub Eckernförde after the EHC. These boats will be transported to Travemünde during the two weeks prior to the IDM and can be picked up in Travemünde by the owner.
