Thank you for your late submission regarding an alternative event proposal for Paris 2024 ahead of World Sailing’s Mid-Year meeting.
All submissions received in respect of alternative event proposals were considered at a Board meeting today and the President in alignment with the Board approved three of the late submissions following a review against the relevant criteria. We regret to inform you that your submission was not approved. More detail regarding the decision can be found here: https://www.sailing.org/meetings/board-minutes.php.
The approved submissions will be considered on 10 and 11 May by the Events and Equipment Committees who will make their recommendations to Council, and Council shall then meet on 14 May to review and select the two events to be proposed to the IOC.
We thank you for your valued contribution and hope that you will support World Sailing in its continued efforts to secure our tenth medal at the 2024 Olympics.
