Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
The Technical Advisory Board (TAB) of the International Star Class is reviewing North Sails 3Di, technology and its use in the Star Class. In a meeting with the TAB last week, North Sails offered to collaborate with the Star Class’s review to determine whether the sail conforms to our its class rules or whether class rules should be changed to permit its use.
It is expected that this work will proceed quickly and North has offered that the sail will not be used in racing until the class makes a determination.
