Technical Advisory Board Members Announced

Star Class Members:
The Star Class is moving forward by searching out new members that want to make a contribution. In setting up the current Technical Advisory Board, I wanted to offer an opportunity to individuals that have a technical understanding of the Star, who have the energy and time to deal with difficult specification changes and believe that after 102 years the Class has many great years ahead.
I am pleased to announce the following people have accepted positions on the Technical Advisory Board:
Jim Ryan, USA Co-Chief Measurer
- Graduated 1993 SUNY Maritime at Fort Schuyler with a B.Eng specializing in Naval Architecture
- Worked at B&R Designs and B&R Mast and Rigging
- Currently running J.Ryan Development / Locus practicing Naval Architecture
Guido Sodano, Italy Co-Chief Measurer
- Certified Star measurer since 1995
- Founder of mastbuilder sold to Emmetti Spars
- Involved in start-up of Wally Yachts
John MacCausland, USA TAB
- Current Star World Champion
- Owner Moorhouse MacCausland Sailing
- Winner of 6 Silver Stars from 1984 to 2012
Arthur Anasov, USA TAB
- Boat builder of Odessa 1993 Russian Whitbread Yacht
- Owner of Star Boat Shop, Arcadia Florida
- Competed in 9 World Championships starting in 1994
Dominic Schenk, Switzerland TAB
- Boat builder since 1998 worked for Josef Steinmeier building Stars
- Maintenance work in Auckland (New Zealand) Alinghi Challenge
- Established Schenk AG yacht building Company
