Star Class Honoring the Past, Leading the Future
Dear participants of the Star World Championship 2021,
In the following letter we would like to give you further information about the World Championship 2021 in Kiel-Schilksee from 04.09.2021-11.09.2021. The realisation of the event in the current time requires of course also Corona specific measures, which can change at any time, for this we would like to ask for your understanding and compliance with the measures.
Corona Rules:
All participants must fulfil one of the following three criteria at check-in and confirm this by providing proof:
After checking in, each participant will receive an accreditation for the entire event, which is required for the control to the entrance of the Heineken Star Class Lounge and for the event area. Within the lounge and in all other enclosed spaces, it is compulsory to wear medical masks (either OP or FFP2). This may be removed when taking a seat at the table. Consumption is only permitted outside on the terrace and while seated at the tables. Please inform yourself daily about the entry and arrival regulations to and in Germany.

Arrival:
As you can see from the attached map of the harbour, you will arrive at the event site via the “Fördestraße” and then via the street "Tempest" and “Drachenbahn”. At the entrance to the event area a deposit of 50 € is due, which has to be paid cashless via credit card. This deposit will be credited back to the credit card when leaving the event area. The parking spaces for the trailers are close to the crane and can be found on the attached harbour map. Check-in for the World Championships will take place in the Heineken Star Class Lounge, which is located in the harbour apron in the sponsors' mile. The duration of stay on the harbour area for parking the trailer may be 60 minutes. After that, the trailer vehicle must be parked in the car park.
Campsite:
A campsite will be set up for the event in the direct vicinity of the harbour. For reservations and further questions please contact Mr. Witt (+49 431 6672541). For the accommodation on the camping site every person has to be either vaccinated, recovered or tested (not older than 48 hours) and has to prove this on arrival.
Parking spaces for cars and trailers:
During the event, a parking area for cars will be set up on part of the campsite exclusively for the participants of the Star Class World Championships. You will receive a parking card for this when you park your trailer in the area of the crane. The trailers of the boats can be parked in the harbour, for this you have two areas to choose from, which you can find on the attached harbour map.
Social Events:
The following social events are planned as part of the World Championship:
At the Star Class Dinner at the Kieler Yacht-Club, all persons who have not been vaccinated or have not recovered must present a current test upon entry, which must not be older than 24 hours.
Accompanying persons are welcome to attend the events. To gain access to the event areas, escorts must also register in the Heineken Star Class Lounge, meet the 3G criteria (Vaccinated, Tested or Convalescent) and provide evidence of this, and will then receive accreditation for the events after the regatta. The cost for the social events in Schilksee is €50 for participation for all evenings. This amount is to be paid at the check-in counter. For the Star Class Dinner at the Kiel Yacht Club, the accompanying persons must be registered at regatta@kyc.de by 19.08.2021. The costs for the accompanying persons amount to € 70 and are to be paid at the check-in in the Heineken Star Class Lounge.
